will my site be listed in search engines?

blog-searchyes it will, although it does take a little bit of time and the ranking relies on a number of different factors that change from time to time. we put meta tags into the code of the webpages so that search engines like yahoo, google, bing, etc. can read your website and you’ll be listed when people search for you. we notify the search engines of your site when it is completed and it sometimes takes a few months for them to list your site.

do you provide updates and maintenance if needed?

blog-maintenancewe do maintain sites that are created here at our studio for a $100.00 hourly rate, billed in 15 minute increments. usually updates are made within a week of requesting them, and more quickly if possible. we can’t usually maintain a site created by another designer, as everyone programs differently. sometimes it costs more to maintain an old outdated site than to create a new one.

what is the design process for a website?

blog-processthis is one of the main things discussed in the initial consultation and we talk about the details in order to get a clear picture of exactly what you want and would like to convey before an estimate is written up. we’ll also talk about the type of programming that you’d like for your website. examples using photos or links that you like helps with this process as the design is an extension of your personality and business and represents you. some projects we’ve done were created with very little direction and others had more specific criteria to follow. we are always open to try different ideas, learning new methods, and want every project to be unique.

what is the payment policy?

blog-paymentfor larger jobs like a website, we request that a 50% deposit be paid to get started and to get the project started in the queue. once the site is completed and launched, we send out an invoice billing for the balance. for maintenance and smaller projects, the bill is sent out at the end of each month with the due date customarily set at two weeks in the future. the preferred method of payment is check, but we will also take paypal as well for smaller invoices (or for larger ones, there would be a 5% fee to cover what paypal takes out.) we do not accept credit cards at this time.
