Branding and Website Development
Lyra Selene
This was our second website design with the author Lyra Selene. Originally she had been writing young adult novels, and then she wrote an adult series as well. We wanted to keep the same dark, beautiful and magical vibe for her branding, but to update it a bit, as well as add in her editorial services. The blog from her previous site was imported into a new WordPress installation that’s easier to update. We used a colorful floral stock image, with a decorative script font for her logo in a muted gold gradient. Subtle backgrounds accent the info and content while not distracting from it. Her new book is a #1 Sunday – New York Times bestseller, and the next in the series releases in January 2025.
BRANDING AND DESIGN
We took the overall vibe from Lyra’s original site with us and modernized it, keeping it in line with her brand, but for a new audience of readers. A stock image search along with graphic images sets the background for her books and information.
Website Deveopment
Lyra’s site is simple yet visual, with on overview of information on the home page and accessible navigation that allows visitors to find exactly what they are looking for throughout the rest of the pages, including links to purchase from the site.
Technical Assistance
Managed WordPress hosting was used for Lyra’s site, which includes fast hosting, daily automatic backups, basic website security and an SSL certificate. She can update her blog as she likes, and we are available for maintenance as needed.
