A WooCommerce shopping cart is made to integrate with WordPress and is a great way to sell your products. This is a free open-source plugin which allows us to access and customize the code to your specific needs. As with any other website, You'll need a domain and an SSL certificate, then we can install WordPress and the WooCommerce plugin and add your products.

You've probably noticed (or maybe you haven't) that Instagram has changed their format of the square 1:1 ratio, 1080 x 1080 pixel photo grid to 4:5 ratio, 1080 x 1350 pixel rectangles. Whether you’re happy or mad about the change, you can fix some of your images by clicking on the 3 dots to the right of the post and then going to “Adjust Preview.” You can choose to have the image FILL the space (which is what they’re already doing by default, even if that means a bit is cropped off of each side.) The other option is to have the image FIT the space, which shows the entire image, but then that leaves that blank space to the top and bottom. You can then choose to have either a white or black background color fill the excess. The bad news is that this doesn’t work for video posts and you have to change each and every post manually because there’s not a way to change the settings on all of them at once.

Graphic design and fashion are much more related than you might think, as both are linked to whatever is going on culturally at the moment. In branding and web design, this manifests itself in calm serene images, maybe very staged and neatly placed into a very simple evenly spaced framework that (hopefully) lets visitors quickly get the information that they need and then go on their way. We’ve pretty much reached the saturation point with neutral graphics and template websites, and everything is starting to look the same. (I’m sure you’ve seen those Instagram accounts where every single post is a meticulously curated monotone “sad beige.”) It looked cool at first, but it’s absolutely everywhere, and the trend has been slowly feeling like it’s made by those uninspiring AI robots that we’re all suspicious of.

Of course we're all very familiar with 2-factor authentication and the need to put it on all of our accounts, from banking to shopping, to your website hosting or domain name accounts. We highly encourage everyone to do so to keep things safe and secure. However, it does add another level of difficulty to our jobs, and we are now making it mandatory that we are put on as an admin on every account we're working with.

This makes things easier for you and for us. When we are not put on as an alternate administrative contact, then we have to coordinate a time with the client to relay the codes so that we can get into the account and do what needs to be done. This can take a lot of time because the codes now expire after just a few minutes, and also because sometimes your IP address is in a different location than ours, so the account won't let us in. Putting us on as a trusted user on the account will save us from having to bother you if we need to get in to solve a technical problem and will allow us to more easily get in if it's an emergency situation, like if the site is down for any reason.

We will send several reminders to do this, and if you ask us to do an update to your site, we will start the process to get us permanently validated into the account. Likely in a few months if we still have to do the 2-factor relay because we're not listed as an admin, we can simply add the time it takes to log in onto the update cost.
