Macondo Writers
We’ve been working with authors for many years and one of our clients introduced us to a group of writers called Macondo that she’s a part of. They are a group of Spanish-speaking writers from various countries, now living in the USA. Macondo Writers is based in San Antonio, Texas and in collaboration with Trinity University. We were very excited about this project and aside from having an established logo, they gave us complete creative freedom to design their new branding. Many influences came to mind, including 60’s South American psychedelic modernism as well as a Brazilian Tropicália mood and style. We designed something that is partially abstract, quite a bit botanical, and a whole lot of bright and happy. We have designed other matching items for Macondo, such as social media posts, annual reports, and of course, a clean organized website.

The group at Macondo allowed us to create a beautiful look that fit their brand and audience, and was used across all of their media, including annual reports and social media posts. We used their already existing logo which fit in perfectly.
Website develpment
The landing page has multiple sections which gives a good overview and has the latest news and workshops immediately visible. Matching inside pages has expanded info so that Macondo members can access more in-depth content easily.
Technical assistance
Macondo had multiple hosting accounts and website builders which we helped to organize and streamline into just one with Managed WordPress hosting. We maintain the website for the group and gave them matching graphics to use on social media.
