Richard Blanco
Richard Blanco was selected by President Obama as the fifth and youngest Presidential Inaugural Poet in U.S. history, and is quite prolific with many books, events, educational resources, videos, and news contained within his website. We helped to organize all of the info into a simple and straightforward design that allows visitors to easily navigate through all of the content while still knowing exactly where they are on the site. Richard already had a wonderful logo to use and fantastic photos that capture his personality and the importance of his life’s work. A grayscale color scheme with deep royal blue and subtle textures add an elegant backdrop to the site, dividing sections for easy readability.

We used Richard’s logo and professional photos to bring the elements together into a design that expresses his personality as a backdrop to his work and informational content, with various panels to divide up text for easier readability.

The content from Richard’s previous website was brought into this one and expanded upon, from updated book info, to migrated blog posts. Every book has it’s own page with purchase links, videos, reviews and excerpts, each listed in a neat drop down menu.
Technical Assistance
Our affiliate Biondo Web hosts the website using Managed WordPress hosting which includes the SSL certificate, daily automatic backups, and basic website security. We also work closely with Richard’s assistant for any technical needs, including newsletter and workshop ecommerce integration coming in 2025.
