Jake Burt
Building a digital home for Middle Grade (MG) and Young Adult (YA) author Jake Burt required a blend of high-functionality and immersive storytelling. This project marks our second collaboration with Jake, where we translated the unique energy of his writing into a custom, mobile-responsive author website. For this design, we drew inspiration from his acclaimed novel, Cleo Porter and the Body Electric. We paired a futuristic, slightly dystopian vibe with a sophisticated color palette—utilizing neon accents against neutral shades to create a "cyberpunk" aesthetic that appeals to both teen and adult readers.

Visual Identity & Brand Systems
We collaborated closely with Jake to brainstorm visual concepts that bridge the gap between his current release and his long-term brand identity. Our goal was to create a future-proof author platform—one that captures the spirit of his latest work while remaining versatile enough to evolve with his future book launches. Through our custom illustration process, we drafted and refined the site's hero visuals, ensuring the final artwork perfectly aligned with his unique creative voice and professional goals.
Website Design & Development
To maintain Jake’s established written content, we performed a seamless content migration, consolidating years of blog posts into his new, centralized author hub. This ensures his readers—and search engines—can find all his archived content in one main portal. We also developed dedicated book landing pages for his entire bibliography. Each page is strategically organized to enhance the reader's journey, featuring integrated purchase links for major retailers to drive direct book sales and improve conversion rates.
Digital Supervision & Performance Management
We provided Jake with a high-performance Managed WordPress Hosting solution to ensure his platform is fast, reliable, and secure, through our affiliate, Biondo Web. This setup includes essential technical SEO and security features. This infrastructure allows Jake the independence to manage his author blog and day-to-day content updates easily. Meanwhile, we remain available for professional website maintenance and larger technical updates as his brand continues to grow.
